Perched atop Mount Tuam on Salt Spring Island, KDOL has served as a place of retreat, meditation, and contemplative practice for over four decades. Established by Kalu Rinpoche in 1980, it became one of the first traditional three-year retreat centres in North America. Surrounded by forest and expansive views of the Gulf Islands, the land has supported generations of practitioners seeking silence, reflection, and spiritual practice.
